A week dedicated to the first of December, International AIDS Day, began, entitled “The Role of Preventive Measures for HIV Infection in the Protection of Public Health.” Today, the staff of the department, together with the Republican Center for Combating AIDS and the international Doctors Without Borders Foundation, organized and carried out an action for students under the motto: “check yourself, find out your status.” Students had the opportunity to voluntarily, free of charge, and anonymously undergo rapid testing for HIV infection, viral hepatitis C and syphilis. The campaign included rapid testing for three infections of 57 students from the faculties of 2-medicine, management, dentistry and the faculty of foreign students.
