On January 28, 2022, at the invitation of the Tashkent Medical Academy, Professor Roberta Hors, Regional Program Advisor of the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), presented a “Multi-layered approach to reducing the prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) in society”. held a special lecture on the topic.
In addition to professors and students of TMA, the event was attended by specialists of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance and Public Health Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republican Specialized Center for Epidemiology, Microbiology, Infectious Diseases and Parasitology, Primary Health Department, as well as students from other medical universities participated.
During the lecture, Professor Horse provided the most up-to-date information on how to control the spread of disease, reduce infection and mitigate its effects, and organize daily life in a pandemic environment. This information aroused great interest among the participants, and at the end of the event, Professor Horse answered all the questions of the audience.
