On June 5–6, 2026, the International Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Infections and Public Health: Current Challenges and Solutions” was held in Urgench.
The conference was moderated by Laziz Nadirovich Tuychiyev, S.T. Tobokalova, and N.V. Skripchenko.
As part of the conference, the Head of the Department, Gulnara Karimovna Khudaykulova, delivered an online presentation on the topic “Antiviral Therapy for Influenza and Acute Respiratory Viral Infections (ARVI) in Children.” The presentation highlighted modern approaches to the treatment and prevention of viral respiratory infections in children and attracted considerable interest from the participants.
In addition, the department staff members, assistants T.T. Ibragimov and I.E. Akhmerov, participated in the conference in person.
The main objective of the conference was to bring together infectious disease specialists, epidemiologists, bacteriologists, virologists, general practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to address current challenges in combating infectious and parasitic diseases. Special attention was given to the exchange of advanced experience in developing new approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infectious and non-infectious diseases, as well as to strengthening international scientific cooperation among researchers and healthcare professionals.
