On September 7, 2021, an international scientific and practical conference was held at the Ministry of Innovative Development with the participation of representatives of government departments and organizations, heads and employees of medical institutions, international experts and experts from the World Health Organization on the topic “COVID-19. Vaccination: Achievements, Prospects and Goals ”. The conference was held offline and online.
The conference was opened by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Behzod Musayev and Minister of Innovative Development, Academician Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov.
“This scientific and practical conference is dedicated to the most effective tool in combating the coronavirus pandemic – the vaccination process,” said Deputy Prime Minister B. Musaev. – A more effective method for protecting public health than vaccination has not yet been developed. In order to save the lives of millions of people and prevent complications after the disease, mass vaccinations are being carried out in Uzbekistan. Today’s conference brought together specialists in the field of medicine. It is thanks to the holding of such events that the qualifications of specialists and the awareness of the population about vaccination are increased.
The conference was held in two sessions, at which famous scientists shared their views on the specificity of vaccines against coronavirus, their effectiveness against various strains. In particular, detailed information was provided on the results of phase III clinical trials of the Chinese-Uzbek vaccine ZF-UZ-VAC2001. After each session, panel discussions were organized in which the head of the department, prof. GK Khudaykulova spoke and answered many questions about vaccination.
The event also announced the launch of a new website dedicated to coronavirus vaccines – vacination.uz. Here you can find detailed information about vaccines created and developed in our country. In addition, a video about the production of the ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine was presented at the event.
