At the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Management No. 1, an off-site educational lesson was conducted with the students of subgroup 201-A of the Faculty of Dentistry on the topic: “Organization of Medical Care for the Population in Inpatient (Hospital) Settings: Types, Tasks, and the Use of Medical Instruments.”

The practical session was conducted at a specialized institution — a boarding home for children with disabilities. During the field lesson, the students became acquainted with the specific features of organizing inpatient medical care, the structure of the medical institution, the working principles of nursing and medical staff, as well as the main types of medical services provided in such institutions.

Special attention was given to:

  • types of inpatient medical care;
  • responsibilities of medical personnel in conditions requiring round-the-clock care;
  • sanitary and hygienic requirements;
  • the use and purpose of medical instruments and equipment;
  • issues of deontology and ethics when working with pediatric patients.
